Dr. Fedha Flora, Ph.D
Dean Faculty of Education and Community studies (FEDCOS)

Dr. Fedha Flora is the Dean Faculty of Education and Community Service (FEDCOS), and a Senior lecturer at Egerton University, Kenya. She has extensive knowledge in academia, research, development, management and supervision for capacity building. She holds a PhD (Educational Planning and Management specialty) at Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), a Masters of Education Degree in Education Administration and Planning of Kenyatta University, Bachelor of Education (of Egerton University) and Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management. She has been a Teaching Practice and Field attachment Coordinator for over 8 years. She has taught for over 28 years with 14 years at University level.  Fedhas’ research expertise and interests are in handling postgraduate research, in the areas of Educational Management, Curriculum Development, mobilization, and community capacity building. Fedha is currently working on an action research project Partnership with Deans of Education in Kenya and Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV), aimed at, among others, aligning the current Teacher Education Programmes to Competency Based Teacher Education. She is also  one of the Focal leads, in a project involved in massive roll out of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Eastern Africa.

Fedha is a trainer in Educational Management courses, has been involved also in training and evaluation of security Management courses in Southern Sudan, involved in The Partnership Pedagogical Leadership in Africa project organized by Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR). Has been a reviewer of Curriculum in Pedagogy and Leadership (PEDAL Programme) and reviewer of E- Learning Course Material for Open and Distance Education, and writing E-learning training modules. Currently, she is a Vice Chair of Educational Management Society of Kenya (EMSK), whose objective is, engaging in collaborative research in Kenya and Internationally on Education management, and creating awareness of professional needs in quality Educational Management through seminars, workshops and symposia
