Bernard Kibet Kirui Yebei

Bernard is a natural resource scientist with focus on forest systems and keen on providing solutions to conservation challenges. He obtained his PhD from Edinburgh Napier University on ecology of mangrove ecosystem, his MSc from Egerton University where he developed allometric equations for estimating aboveground biomass of two mangrove species at the Kenya. Bernard is a Senior Lecturer in management of natural resources with over 20 years of teaching and research experience in coastal and marine ecosystem, terrestrial ecosystem, higher education teaching and extension and consultancy projects. Bernard also has over 7 years’ experience in management position having served as a departmental held and later as an associate Dean at Egerton University. He is a technical member at Plan Vivo Technical Review Panel (TRP).  TRP is a body of experts who help to ensure that Plan Vivo projects uphold the requirements in the Plan Vivo carbon Standard relating to the estimation and monitoring of carbon benefits.
